This spring, Monmouth Track & Field returned to competition following a lengthy layoff due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the absence of competition didn't stop our programs from operating during the time away. Our student-athletes continued their studies and, when allowable, continued to practice within strict health and safety guidelines.
The pandemic also brought significant economic and budgetary challenges to all of our collegiate athletics. Important revenue streams such as tickets sales, sponsorships, and disbursements from the NCAA have decreased significantly, while expenses continue to rise.
We hope you can help our Track & Field program on Giving Days through a gift to the Outdoor Track Enhancement Fund. As always, Monmouth University allocates 100% of each donation to our Outdoor Track & Field Enhancement Fund. The Fund supports the complete replacement of all track & field equipment necessary to host competition at Kessler Stadium! The track at Kessler Stadium was resurfaced in 2019, and our next step is replace all of the equipment used inside the venue to host a meet.
Every gift—of every amount—can make a significant impact!
Help our Hawks realize their full potential and make your gift today!
Thank you Monmouth University Track & Field friends for your support of our program! I wanted to share a few photos of the first new piece of equipment that arrived on campus this week thanks to your generosity! Our pole vaulters will appreciate this new soft landing spot!
Please stay tuned as we are working on setting a date to honor Coach Joe Compagni! We will share the date as soon as it is finalized and we look forward to seeing all of you on campus!

Associate Directors of Athletics
On behalf of everyone at Monmouth University Athletics and the Blue/White Club, thank you for supporting our outdoor track & field enhancement project during Giving Days 2021. Together, we raised over $46,000 to complete an overall goal of $150,000 to upgrade the outdoor track & field equipment at Kessler Stadium!
As part of this effort, we are pleased to recongize Joe Compagni, the longtime and legendary head coach of Monmouth University Track & Field. The track at Kessler Stadium will be named in honor of Coach Joe and when we're able to do so, we will invite all of you to join us in person to comemorate the naming. Stay tuned for more details.
Current Monmouth Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Mike Nelson also wanted to share his appreciation for your support. Please see the video link below for his special message!
Again, thank you all for your support of Monmouth!
