Make a gift to support the Honors School

Students in the Honors School are part of a community of leaders and thinkers, where discussion and dialogue naturally occur within the classroom but also continue through extracurricular activities and off-campus events. These unique learning experiences highlight the many benefits of Honors School study. Students within the Honors School have access to cluster and linked-learning communities, peer mentors, participation in an annual research conference, and a variety of cultural events. Through the hard work and dedication of its community members, the school continues its mission to help students deepen their level of knowledge and global awareness.

Reenie Menditto Endowed Scholarship Challenge
Irene “Reenie” Menditto dedicated herself to Monmouth as a beloved member of the Honors School community for 22 years. Throughout her life of service, Reenie made a tremendous impact on students and colleagues, creating stability and a standard of excellence. In celebration of her retirement, a group of Reenie’s friends pledged to establish an endowed scholarship in her name. With her passing in 2021, this scholarship, which will last in perpetuity, took on new meaning. The Reenie Menditto Endowed Scholarship at Monmouth University will forever support Honors School students, with preference given to those who are first-generation college students (as was Reenie) and/or who have unmet financial need. To help fully fund this Scholarship, we’re inviting all who loved Reenie to make a contribution during Giving Days. The first $1,000 raised on March 25-26 will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, by Challenge donor Bill Mitchell. Please join us in honoring Reenie’s legacy today.
